Dr. Yi Pan

                   Dr. Yi Pan was born in Jiangsu, China. He entered Tsinghua University in March 1978 with the highest college entrance examination score among all 1977 high school graduates in Jiangsu Province. Dr. Pan is a Distinguished University Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science and Professor of the Department of Computer Information Systems at Georgia State University. Dr. Pan received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in computer engineering from Tsinghua University, China, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, in 1991.

          Dr. Pan’s research interests include parallel and cloud computing, wireless networks, and bioinformatics. Dr. Pan has published more than 330 papers including over 150 SCI journal papers and 50 IEEE Transactions papers. In addition, he has edited/authored 39 books. He has received many awards from organizations such as IEEE, NSF, AFOSR, JSPS, IBM, ISIBM, IISF and Mellon Foundation. Dr. Pan has served as an editor-in-chief or editorial board member for 15 journals including 7 IEEE Transactions and a guest editor for 12 special issues for 10 journals including 2 IEEE Transactions. He has organized numerous international conferences and workshops and has delivered over 40 keynote speeches at international conferences around the world.

Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Rodriguez

Tamaulipas Autonomous University, Mexico

         Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Rodriguez is working at the Tamaulipas Autonomous University (UAT). He is a Full Professor and the Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Lab Director, and Research Advisor for INDEX Mexico. He was a higher education Executive Director at the International Institute of Studies (IIES); in 2011, he created the First Business School in Tamaulipas, Mexico, and increased academic quality and 30% tuition. Furthermore, he was the Information Technology Manager at Emerson Electric, where he developed more than 40 software, some of them used globally in Emerson, and achieved technology convergence by implementing the first efforts on IoT and Industry 4.0 applied in manufacturing environments back in 2008. As a Ph.D. student he works at the Ontology Engineering Group at Technical University of Madrid (UPM), He is a member of Level 1 of National Systems Researchers (SNI) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT), Mexico’s entity promoting scientific and technological activities In Mexico, promoting high-quality scientific research. He also is a member of Accredited Professor by the National Education Secretary in Mexico. And a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

Yu-Dong Zhang

Professor, Department of Informatics

              Prof. Dr. Yu-Dong Zhang (Eugene) worked as a postdoc from 2010 to 2012 with Columbia University, USA, and as an Assistant Research Scientist from 2012 to 2013 with the Research Foundation of Mental Hygiene (RFMH), USA. He served as a Full Professor from 2013 to 2017 with Nanjing Normal University. Now he serves as a professor at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences, University of Leicester, UK. His research interests include deep learning and medical image analysis. He is the Fellow of IET, Fellow of EAI, and Fellow of BCS. He is the Senior Member of IEEE, IES, and ACM. He is the Distinguished Speaker of ACM. He was included in Most Cited Chinese Researchers (Computer Science) by Elsevier from 2014 to 2018. He was the 2019 & 2021 recipient of Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate. He won the Emerald Citation of Excellence 2017 and MDPI Top 10 Most Cited Papers 2015. He is included in Top Scientist in Research.com. There are more than 50 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 5 ESI Hot Papers in his (co)authored publications. His citation reached 21143 in Google Scholar (h-index 81) and 12418 in Web of Science (h-index 61). He has conducted many successful industrial projects and academic grants from NIH, Royal Society, GCRF, EPSRC, MRC, Hope, British Council, and NSFC. He has given over 120 invited talks at international conferences, universities, and companies.

Dr. Danilo Pelusi

         Prof. Dr. Danilo Pelusi, Professor in the Faculties of Communication Sciences and Bioscience and Agro-Food and Environmental Technology, his research is on coding theory and artificial intelligence. Moreover, he is interested in signal processing, pattern recognition, fuzzy logic, neural networks, and genetic algorithms. Assistant Professor of Computer Science from 2009 to 2012 at the University of Teramo, he has developed research activity on control systems optimization and database management to the Astronomic Observatory Collurania "V. Cerulli" of Teramo. Reviewer of international journals and conferences, he is an Editorial board member of journals "Journal of Universal Computer Science", "International Journal of Advances in Telecommunications, Electrotechnics, Signals, and Systems", "Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research", "Science Journal of Circuits, Systems, and Signal Processing".
